The SSI Dive Guide course is an immersive training program designed for advanced certified divers who aspire to take on a leadership role in the scuba diving community. This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead non-commercial underwater excursions safely and effectively, catering to divers of all experience levels.

Course highlights include:

• Dive site management, underwater navigation, dive planning, and emergency procedures.
• Practical exercises both in the water and in the classroom. This hands-on approach helps reinforce your learning, ensuring you feel confident in your abilities to guide dives.
• Emphasis is placed on diver safety, risk management, and emergency response, allowing you to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.

As an SSI Dive Guide, you’ll gain a recognized certification that showcases your expertise and professionalism in the diving industry. This is the first step for those looking to transition along dive professional pathway.

NOTE: The Dive Guide course along with Science of Diving (see the calendar for upcoming dates), are required to advance to Divemaster.

Dates: Monday, October 6th; Tuesday, October 7th; and Thursday, October 9th

This will be the first meeting of several classroom and pool sessions; subsequent meeting dates will be determined by the class during the first session.
