The SSI Dive Photography Specialty course is the perfect way to learn how to capture stunning images of marine life and underwater landscapes. Whether you’re a seasoned diver or a photography enthusiast, this course will help you develop skills and knowledge that you need to take breathtaking photos and videos.
Course content includes in-depth training about:
- Camera Equipment: Understand the basics of underwater camera equipment, including digital cameras, housings, lenses, and lights.
- Camera Settings: Learn how to adjust settings to optimize your underwater images, such as ISO, aperture, and shutter speed.
- Composition: Master the art of composition to create visually appealing and impactful images
- Light: Discover how to use natural and artificial light to illuminate your subjects and enhance your photos and videos.
Prerequisites:
- You must be at least 10 years old.
- Be an Open Water Diver or equivalent.
What to Bring:
- There is one classroom session and one pool session.
- At minimum, you will need a camera for the pool session.
Where:
- The classroom and pool sessions will be held at Ski/Scuba Center.
- Total Duration of class is two evenings.
Training Materials:
Upon making a deposit for this program, you will have access to your digital training program on your MYSSI App or when you log in at www.divessi.com. You must complete all quizzes with a score of 100% before you arrive for class. There will be a multiple-choice exam at the end of the classroom portion. You must pass the final exam with a score of 80% or higher.
Training Dives:
- There is one pool or open waster training dives required for this course.
